Nature Rocks concert raises $35,000 for scholarships

The fifth annual Nature Rocks Concert for Conservation on July 18 raised close to $35,000 for scholarships, making it among the most successful fundraisers
in the history of the Long Lake Conservation Foundation.

A combination of corporate sponsorship, ticket sales, day-of-event donations and concessions added up to just shy of $35,000, Long Lake Conservation
Foundation President Bob Marcum said. All proceeds will allow deserving young people to attend outdoor school or summer camps at Long Lake Conservation Center,
supporting its mission of getting kids off of their phones and connected with nature. “I’m happy to say that as a result of the concert, we will be able to say yes to
every kid who applies for a scholarship,” Marcum said.

Nature Rocks Concert for Conservation raised about $40,000 combined during its first four years. This year’s concert nearly matched that total.
