Get ready for the fifth annual Paddle Your Glass Off event
Everyone is invited Saturday, June 14, for the fourth annual Paddle Your Glass Off, a kayak paddle on the Mississippi River followed by a beer, wine and spirit tasting event.
The paddle is presented by the Aitkin Area Chamber of Commerce Water Trails Committee.
Spend a day paddling down the scenic Mississippi River in a kayak or canoe, taking in the natural beauty of Aitkin. Afteryour river journey, kick
back and enjoy a tasting of craft brews from local breweries — plus non-alcoholic options. To top it all off, there will be some live music to jam to and
games to play. Participants must be 21 or older to enter with identification required.
Shuttles will start at 8:30 a.m. and tasting from noon until 4 p.m.
Those who register for the event will paddle the Mississippi from the Kimball Access to Aitkin Campgrounds. Participants will be shuttled from the Aitkin Street
Department city shop to the launch site at the Kimball Access and the paddle ends at the Aitkin County Campground Access. The course is approximately
seven river miles and will take about two and one-half hours to complete. A life jacket or personal flotation device is required.
