Aitkin County launches new podcast series; Coffee with the County
Aitkin County is excited to announce the launch of a new podcast series aimed at
informing and educating residents on a wide variety of local government topics. The
podcast, titled “Coffee with the County,” will offer citizens an opportunity to learn about
County departments, their functions, and stay informed about important upcoming issues
—all from the comfort of their home, office, or while on the go.
“Coffee with the County” will feature interviews with County officials and experts, covering
timely subjects that impact our community. From election updates to tax information,
listeners can expect a steady stream of relevant and valuable content. In addition,
episodes will highlight ongoing efforts in economic development, explain key local policies,
and provide updates on community initiatives.
The goal of the podcast is simple: to proactively keep our community engaged and
informed. “With such a wide range of services offered it can sometimes be challenging for
residents to know what services the County provides or who to turn to when they have
questions. This podcast is a direct way to reach people where they are,” said Jessica
Seibert, County Administrator, speaking about the motivation behind this new endeavor.
A new episode every week will have plenty of content to enjoy your morning coffee while
catching up on local issues. The podcast will be available for free on popular platforms
such as the County website, Naturally Better YouTube channel and Facebook pages.
Upcoming episodes will focus on topics such as understanding property taxes, and new developments in housing and economic growth.
The County hopes that “Coffee with the County” becomes a go-to source for residents who
want to stay informed about what’s happening at the County to benefit their community.
