The Jayhawks to headline Nature Rocks concert
The scholarship fundraising concert lineup also features Martin Zeller and the Hardways
The Jayhawks with special guest Martin Zellar and the Hardways will headline the fifth annual Nature Rocks Concert for Conservation on Saturday, July 18 at the Aitkin
County Fairgrounds.
Considered pioneers of the alt-rock genre, The Jayhawks are making a rare central Minnesota appearance. Their rootsy sound has endeared them to fans
around the world since they emerged from the crowded Minnesota music scene in 1985.
Martin Zellar, who is also in the lineup, is a beloved singer/songwriting who rose to fame as the lead singer Gear Daddies who headlined the inaugural Nature Rocks Concert
in 2021. He returns to the Nature Rocks stage with his band the Hardways which features Gear Daddies bassist Nick Ciola.
“We wanted to do something extra special for our fifth annual Nature Rocks Concert,” Long Lake Manager Dave McMillan said.
“I can’t think of a better, more Minnesota concert than The Jayhawks and Martin Zellar. Aitkin will be the ‘Land of 10,000 songs.’”
Tickets are available now at naturerocksconcert.com.
Nature Rocks is a Long Lake Conservation Foundation event. Proceeds from this scholarship fundraising concert will allow deserving kids to attend summer camps and
outdoor school at Long Lake Conservation Center.
